Anthony C. Patterson, MD, MA
I developed a passion for science at a very young age, and by the end of high school,
that passion turned to the science of human behavior.
I found myself fascinated with the question, "Why do people do what they do?"
I’ve been a practicing medical professional for the Charlotte community since 1991. I understand that your health and wellness concerns extend beyond routine medical care.
I’m a board-certified Psychiatrist and provide an array of comprehensive services and procedures.
My experience and interests include mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, sleep disorders, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, and recovery from trauma and addictions.

Nursing Practice
Janis Patterson, RN, MSN
I am an Advanced Practice Nurse starting a Holistic Practice.
Having been a Pediatric Nurse for 37 years,
I hope to broaden my clientele to include service to adults.
I realized early on that the way to initiate change in the lives of
children is to engage the adults in their lives in that change first.
My philosophy of practice centers on:
the Holistic Nursing Model
(body, mind, relationships, and spirit).
and
the Nursing Process
(assess, plan, treat, re-assess)
The passions of my practice are mind-body healing, and creating
wellness plans to reduce stress and increase peace and serenity.
These goals are effectively met though the modalities of
HeartMath and other forms of meditation,
Herbal Healing and Clinical Aromatherapy, and Reiki.
I am in the process of completing my certifications in these practices
and have a projected completion of all by Spring 2020.
Beginning in Fall of 2019, I am pleased to begin offering
HeartMath, a form of mind-body communication that offers
opportunities for reduced stress, increased focus, and improved
quality of life by learning to breathe while concentrating on positive
emotions, such as gratitude, compassion, or joy.
I look forward to seeing many of you here at Patterson Healthcare
and hope you will join me on a path to Health and Wellness.
