Jill is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner serving patients of all diagnoses, from adolescents to adults. Her nursing experience spans nine years, and she has been in multiple hospital locations across the United States and internationally. These experiences allowed her to assimilate into the diversity of different cultures, where she gained a more profound understanding, appreciation, and respect for healthcare and holistic wellness practices.

 

Professionally, Jill has worked in many specialties in hospital settings, such as telemetry, orthopedics, urology, and psychiatry. Outside the bedside nursing role, she has been a clinical educator, teaching healthcare providers, nursing staff, and patients to understand infection detection/prevention and lymphedema solutions. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Jill recognized the scarcity of mental health services for those in desperate need. She redirected her career toward becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by attending Walden University to obtain a Master's in Nursing. 

 

Jill is passionate about serving the mental health population and specializes in individuals who present with depression, anxiety, ADHD, and bipolar disorders. While she believes it is vital to maintain your medical wellness, taking care of your mental health is equally essential. Her approach focuses on integrating holistic care to ensure that no underlying medical issues affect an individual's cognitive wellness. 

 

Jill is a proponent of staying up-to-date with evidence-based practice by continuing her education, attending conferences on an annual and bi-annual basis, frequent provider networking events, and taking advantage of any educational opportunities where she can grow as a PMHNP provider. Her mantra is, "The place to practice medicine is called a practice, and we as providers strive to find solutions, and that takes practice!"

 

Jill loves spending time with her doggo, Murray, taking him for walks on the greenway and playing frisbee. She also enjoys being active and outdoors, whether at the U.S. Whitewater Center, gardening, concerts, or road trips. Jill’s sports background keeps her tightly engaged with all of Charlotte's professional sports, from the Panthers to Charlotte FC and the Hornets.
